Day to day Luxury Rwanda Tanzania Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kigali - Rwanda

Welcome to Rwanda! Upon Arrival our representative will greet you at the Airport and you will proceed to your accommodation in Kigali, all the while taking in the sites of the busy green business city of Kigali learning its rich history and culture.

Day 2

Kigali Trip Genocide Memorial
Today you will have an opportunity to learn about the very sad, chilling genocide that claimed millions of lives in 1994 and how the country was able to heal and live harmoniously since then.

You will have an opportunity to learn about this from genocide survivors who were only kids during this gut-wrenching violence. Later on have a glorious meal in the local restaurants with great Rwandan cuisines among Rwandans.

Day 3

Journey to Ruhengeri

Today you will take a drive to Ruhengeri which is four hours away from your Akagera accommodations.

You will make some stops on the way for lunch with the locals and also to observe the beautiful scenery of the beautiful Rwanda landscape including that of the virungas five massive dormant volcanoes looming large.

We will arrive at our lodge for an overnight stay enjoying world class amenities offered in our accommodation.

Day 4

Gorilla Trek
After an early breakfast you’ll proceed to kinigi trekking station in the volcanoes National park, you’ll then have a guided trek through the beautiful forest for a couple of hours enjoying the green views and beautiful birds until you come face to face with the endangered mountain gorillas which are breathtaking in their size and very impressive to observe, you are allowed to enjoy the company of this massive primates for only one hour.

You’ll have an opportunity to visit the Muheza mountain gorilla veterinary project where you’ll learn from ex- poachers about the illegal poaching of these gigantic primates and from doctors the various ways the mountain gorillas get rehabilitated.

Day 5

Golden monkeys

Today you will take an identical trek to that you did on the previous day only on a different path, this is to see the also endangered golden monkeys. You’ll be amazed by the antics of this beautiful primates as they jump from one tree to another in unbelievable speed and style and how they do it with pure grace.

You’ll also have time to explore the park seeing the beautiful gazelles, antelopes and other animals.

Day 6

Fly to Serengeti
An end of one adventure is the beginning of literally another big one. Take a flight over Rwanda enjoying the beautiful mountainous forests, rivers and lakes spiraling the green paradise to Serengeti, the world’s wildlife capital, home to Mufasa, Simba and Pumba, have a bird’s view of the safari haven with rivers pouring from hills, green grass rolling on either side of clear brown paths and masses of wildlife going about their day.

Watching Rwanda’s and Tanzania’s wild unfolding will surely be a very rewarding experience.

Day 7 & 8

Serengeti National park

Buckle up! As you are in for the best wildlife viewing experience in all of Africa, from big cats, zebras and wildebeest to beautiful birds, Serengeti surely has it all. A drive around Serengeti will certainly leave you in awe, predatory action is almost guaranteed here.

The lush Serengeti grass plains and the tall umbrella-like acacia trees are some other mesmerizing sights in Africa’s grandest savannah.

Day 9

Ngorongoro Crater
Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast, with you, a packed lunch box of niceties, drive and then descend into the Ngorongoro crater, home to the world’s densest population of big mammals. Get a close view of all of the big five in an incredible fashion, coupled with a variety of bird species and more often than not captivating predatory actions.

Top off with some cultural experiences inside the crater, visit the beautiful eccentric maasai boma communities and enjoy nature walks. Wind out your day on one of the comfy accommodations in Karatu town.

Day 10

Lake Eyasi
After having a run with the wild, have some down time and drive to lake eyasi area for some interesting and educational cultural excursion. Here lives the Hadzabe people the world’s last hunters and gatherers, get to experience a day in a life of a Hadzabe, you’ll get to see them hunt, and learn their uniquely impressive arrow hunting technique.

You’ll get to learn about their interesting culture and how they are content in their ways and many more.

Day 11

Departure
It has been a great adventure and an undoubted experience and we bid you a Tanzanian good bye with gifts and souvenirs to take home with you.

We hope to see you again after Luxury Rwanda Tanzania Safari.Drive to Kilimanjaro International airport and take a flight back home.
