Kenyan coast is expansive and has a variety of scenic areas for an enjoyable relaxing vacation. It is littered with beautiful beaches with white clear sand dotted with majestic palm trees. A visit to the waterfront coast is usually after your time in the rugged wilderness but nevertheless a solo beach holiday in Kenya is fancied by many.

 Kenyan coast is famed for its Marine parks with some of the best of these parks in Africa found here. Marine parks are mainly a long stretch of protected coral reefs which in it hosts sea creatures that otherwise might go extinct. Some breeds of sharks, blue sea turtles are some of the rare creatures that are protected in the marine parks together with the reefs.

The Kenyan coast also has few archipelagos a little further of the coast, Lamu has dhows and donkeys, funzi with mangrove channels and sand banks and Kiwayu with acres of disserted clear white sands.

You can choose to fly in to Mombasa city, the capital of the coast, at Ukunda airstrip at Diani which is less crowded and kick starts your journey at the famous Diani beach.

Diani Beach

Diani Beach a preferred entry point to the Kenyan coast is a rich expansive spread of crystal clear water and white sands beaches with streets immaculately dotted with palm trees. Diani is a tried and tested destination that you’ve got to visit when you are in Kenya.  Diani beach offers very extravagant tourism experience with camel rides along the white sands one of the very entertaining activity here. Lamu Archipelago

Lamu archipelago made up of several islands manda, Lamu, pate, manda toto and kiwayu to name a few is undoubtedly one of the most evocative destination in Kenyan coast, its rich history as a stop over town by the early sailors en route to and from India makes it feature some of the most exciting culture clashes in Kenyan coast.
