Step into south serengeti during January to March for Serengeti Great Migration , herds of wildebeest, zebras and more move towards the now raining south Serengeti, during this time something fascinating happens, there is a synchronized birth of about 8000 wildebeest every day! Predators are drawn towards this large number of new baby prey, the brutal circle of wildlife commences.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 1

Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro international Airport our representative will greet you and begin a short trip to your accommodations in Arusha.

sip a complementary drink of your choosing as you take in the beautiful Tanzanian landscape with the famous Mount Kilimanjaro on your right.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park
Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast, with you, a packed lunch box of niceties then be on your way to the memorable migration experience. A drive to the third largest Park in the country known for its huge and many elephants and the enormous baobab trees.

The Tarangire national park will give you a great introduction to the wild with its beautiful rivers and plains and the variety of animals in the park.

Day 3

Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to one of the world’s sought after and revered destination, Ngorongoro crater. Descend into the Ngorongoro crater, home to the world’s densest population of big mammals.

Get a close view of all of the big five in an incredible fashion, coupled with a variety of bird species and more often than not captivating predatory actions. Drive to the Ndutu area in ngorongoro to get an introduction to the great spectacle that is ahead.

Day 4 - 6

South Serengeti Ndutu Area
An early morning drive to the Serengeti the biggest park in the whole of Africa for Serengeti Great Migration tracking, It’s calving season in the south of serengeti, hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras and other herbivores move to the now raining south Serengeti for greener pastures.

On top of that this is the time of the year that most wildebeests give birth in some sort of synchronized manner, over 8000 thousand wildebeest are born every day! Witness the spectacle as the hungry predators devour the young prey and watch as many more calves survive this daunting experience.

Day 7

Departure
It’s the final day of your amazing Serengeti Great Migration Safari with The Extreme Wilderness Adventures, drive to the Kilimanjaro international airport for your flight back home.
