Lake Nakuru National Park
The Flamingo Lake and Rhino Sanctuary
About Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park protects an alkaline lake famous for its extraordinary flamingo flocks — at peak season, up to two million lesser flamingos turn the shoreline entirely pink. The park is also one of Kenya's most important rhino sanctuaries, sheltering both black and white rhinos within an electrified perimeter fence. Rothschild giraffe, lion, leopard, and large buffalo herds complete the wildlife picture.
